Call for Balmoral Runners to help Alfie

Apex Tubulars is hoping to encourage more than 100 runners to raise £5,000 for local charity Alfie Milne's Trust in the 5K Run at Balmoral.

The Trust has been set up in the name of five year old Alfie Milne from Peterculter who suffers from Lymphangiomatosis.
 

This is a rare and incurable disease of the lymphatic system which causes tumours to spread throughout the body.
 

Apex recently joined forces with the charity and this marks their first sponsored event of the year.
 

The aim is for each runner to secure a minimum of £50 sponsorship for the run on April 27 as the trust continues in its bid to raise awareness and supports research into the disease.
 

Places are continuing to fill up fast with the initial target of 100 runners almost surpassed.
